Anthropic filed an amended prospectus on Monday and the compute bill got a full accounting. Committed spend is $895.4 billion, substantially all of it compute and infrastructure, and roughly $70 billion of that falls due before September 2027.
- Third quarter revenue reached about $17.0 billion, up 47 percent on the previous quarter, after 144 percent growth in Q2.
- Compute and infrastructure cost for the quarter was about $10 billion, up 77 percent. The nine month figure is $14.4 billion.
- About $213 billion of the total can be avoided. The $437 billion of Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Broadcom deals is non-cancelable, and the SpaceX lease can be ended on 90 days notice from next March.
- Anthropic expects more than 3.5 gigawatts of compute this year, with a similar amount due in 2027.
- Two neocloud contracts carry financing conditions. Nscale must obtain qualifying financing for its Nvidia GPUs, and Lambda must secure its facility lease in time.
