Ghost is selling the opposite of a cloud subscription, and buyers took it.

  • Ghost left stealth on October 5, 2026 with an $11 million seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz.
  • Its first product, Core, is a $3,499 screenless computer built to run AI agents locally.
  • It bundles an Nvidia RTX Pro 4000 SFF Blackwell GPU with 24GB, plus 64GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.
  • Four open weight models ship preinstalled, including Qwen 3.8 27B and Gemma 4 31B.
  • Data, model weights and memory stay on the device, and it keeps working if the vendor shuts down.
  • The first batch sold out within hours and ships the last week of October.
